I agree on the maintenance. That, paired with the unwillingness of a previous owner to do said maintenance, I could very easily end up in a $20,000 car that needs $5,000 sunk into it immediately (or risk safety or damage.) The AMG or //M cars that would be in my price range would likely be on their 2nd or 3rd owner.
