14 ft lbs torque for sway bar links correct?

Is 14 ft lbs of torque for sway bar links seem correct? Was changing lower control arms today and my book is a little confusing on it's illustration. Just wanted to confirm.

Tight is right. Tighten it to what you feel comfortable with. You’re not going to break anything by going a little tighter.

14 ft lbs definitely don't seem that tight. Am going to replace them anyways.

Correct tight is right. Those torque settings shouldn't be followed at 14 ft lbs. Just don't keep tightening till it breaks. I used a smaller ratchet and just tightened till it was tight. Was probably more around 30 to 35 ft lbs but it will vary i think depending on how high u got lower control arm jacked up.
