Need a clarification on this 10th anniversary year

This a cut and paste from another forum that caught my eye
"I do not understand 10th year anniversary being 1 1993 vehicle being produced and sold in USA. Is this correct year?, because Honda of America Manufacturing’s first Honda rolled off Marysville Ohio line on November 1, 1982, a four door Accord with number USA 001, which would make 1992 as 10th USA Anniversary year, followed by 2002 as 20th, and 2012 as 30th. A few simple cosmetic additions/deletions/ and/or changes does not make a real anniversary vehicle. At least they should get year correct. Regards"

Without digging, remember that cars produced in the fall of a year are usually the following year's model. So cars produced in Nov. 1982 would likely have been 1983 model cars. Likely that some 1993 AEs were produced in late 1992.

That’s exactly it. The first car produced in 1982 was a model-year 1983.
