I admire the work you have done to your cb. So much time and labor and all the big pics you posted!

A low mileage junkyard motor or good salvage car would be ideal, if you find the right deal it could cost you next to nothing and you can do the 5spd swap. That's how I got a spare motor/tranny/ boxes of parts off a running junker, then sold everything else I didn't need.

LOL All the work you put into it and a blown motor will send it to the junkyard?

Nice looking car by the way. Great job on the restoration! Hope it doesn't all go to waste.

Yeah. I think I need to know when it's time to cut my losses. I'm gonna hit the junkyard though and see what I can get for a decent F22 at a decent price. H22 is out of the question, unless I can find one right here in town.

So maybe it's not hopeless. my dad and I were doing tests today and the car is getting almost no spark- at least not enough to go through the spark plugs. My guess is the distributor's bad, or probably the igniter.

There is an explanation for the lack of oil when I checked it when the car died too. it was low already and since the car was running, the oil was everywhere else in the motor, and not in the pan. So maybe I didn't fry the thing

Of course, it still has a bad case of BHG

Got a new distributor for this thing. Looks like it wasn't getting good spark. I'm gonna install it tomorrow. Hopefully it brings her back to life

                    Update:
I installed my new distributor today...
                    SHE RUNS!!!!!

Not well, might I add... She's just like she was though

                    She still:
                    Doesn't go in reverse well
                    Has destroyed front suspension
Has a bad blown head gasket
                    Burns oil
                    Leaks oil
                    Leaks coolant (alot) (rotten hoses)
                    Has some brake issues

She still has her rattles, squeaks, bangs, and leaks but she runs

                    Thanks for the support everyone

                    Pictures.

                      Ouch man.

Gotta get those new hoses, the HG really isn't bad at all. Just need the time set aside to do it. Hell, I didn't even remove the IM when I did one on the sedan.

Depends on what you wanna do with her from here on out. If we've both got some free time and you need help wrenching, let me know.

                      life is good.

Alrighty, will do Noah! Yeah I just don't know if I want to have the head remachined before I install the new gasket. It hasn't overheated to my knowledge so it shouldnt be warped at all.

The new hoses are coming. I'll probably order them tomorrow. Then I'll do a coolant change.

Well since she's running again tomorrow I plan on giving her a bit of a detail job. I'll probably replace my burned out tail light, fix the stuck door latch, and maybe paint my hood again if I'm feeling really ambitious. I never really finished it last fall.

Gotta order a few coolant hoses and a head gasket as well.

I did a bit of work on this thing today.
Installed a new tail light bulb (had one sitting around)
Reattached Legend front dome light unit.
                            Fixed my idle issue
                            Detailed my interior
                            Fixed the coolant leak.

Everything I did today was all FREE

                            The interior:

The souce of my coolant leak

                            The rotted end

Got a new (used) hose from the junkyard. All fixed

Car is still looking good. Looks like we've went the same path. Car were ok, than you got mecanical problem and i got an accident then we both thought about letting the car go to the jy but decided to keep it and fix it. Keep going with your project man!

                                Good work.
