ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    bad tint removal?

I have read a few ways to do it but since it is snowing I cant do them. They requir plastic bags and the SUN. That is something I dont have at the moment.

I am thinking of GOOF OFF or GOO GONE to remove the glue but how to get the rest off? The previous owner used a razor on 1/2 and messed all the defroster bars up.... This wont work on the skinny part. I cant reach. Any helpfull hints?

Good box of razor blades and goo gone worked for me but very tiresome.... I did it in winter too so the sun wasn't a good option, isn't there something your suppose to soak it with while under the hefty bag? Oh and Razors on backwinsheild NOT Recommended!

ya Im pretty sure that 60% of the back defroster bars are toast. Only the bottom 3 work. I read that you use water to hold the bag on the outside of the car while you put another bag on the inside of the glass and use no scented ammonia.

actually ammonia helps ALOT with the hefty bag method but its toxic to breath so jus be careful if ur gonna use ammonia but that should take it right off...... if u can use a steam machine that would also work great.
but yeah ur defroster is NOT gonna work anymore since u scraped it with a blade

I used a window scraper on my CB to remove the old tint.

then I used some gas on a rag to remove the glue.

Ya I know. I had some ass hole decided to "TAG UP' my hood with gang signs on my teg around 3 days before I was selling it. I decided to flat black the hood.

Well it turns out that somehow I accidently spilled some brake fluid on his car with a spray bottle.

Ate the shit out of his paint. He knows I did it. Its all fair though in my book.

Thanks for all the info guys. Im going to get after it tomm. after work.

Will tint places remove bad tint also?

How do you remove a rear window without 1st smashing it? I replaced one on my teg but that was after someone threw a rock through it.
