I've based my opinion (which is exactly what it is, no more or less valid that that of anyone else) on more than just the opinions of others. I have taken into consideration the fact that there have been numerous reports of D2 products failing, or otherwise performing inconsistently. I have based my opinion of the company itself by its shady dealings, thoroughly misleading branding, and absolute lack of motorsports involvement. D2 is not a company that has emerged through the motorsports community. D2 is a company that has emerged to take advantage of a naive growing market, using misleading advertising to sell their generic Chinese/Taiwanese parts.

I realize that some of their products may not fail. I realize that when it comes to a cheaply made product, consistency varies considerably. That means some things may be near perfect, while others may be deeply flawed. That is the nature of cheaply made products that have little R&D and little quality control.

You are free to have your own opinion based on your isolated experiences. Please allow me my opinion as well. It's based on far more than just "I knew a guy that had some and they sucked."

This thread wasn't intended to be a personal attack. I'm sorry you took offense to my opinion of the company that made your suspension. I'm sorry voicing my opinion has made you feel like I am requiring you to agree with it. That was not my intention.



My intention here was to show further evidence D2 Racing being a shady company. I have little love for the company, true. I don't require anyone to agree with me. I expect a good number will, because I feel I present a strong argument.
If you want to discuss the topic, I'd be more than happy to. However, the topic is D2 Racing itself, not your isolated experiences. If every product they released resulted in a miserable failure, they wouldn't be in business. Of course it's all not absolutely terrible. But the company overall sucks, in my opinion.

If you have evidence to refute any of the claims I have made regarding this company, please share. Their origins, their manufacturing processes, perhaps some more information regarding the very obvious ripoff of the German telecom company's logo...
I would truly love to have that conversation. That would be an intelligent, informative discussion.

Ill stick around. There is to much good information on here and I have made a lot of good friends here for me to leave. I apologize for offending anyone especially Deeve. I just wanted to give you my opinion on the product you guys where discussing. I also researched the D2 coilovers before I purchased them and found that a lot of people had good experience with them. It is a big decision to drop 800+ dollars on anything and I wanted to make sure that I didn't get ripped off. I've had them for over a year and they have worked great. I'll leave it at that. Again I apologize.

Just for future reference, this is D2's spring supplier. Also apparently the supplier of fine "eBay" coilover sleeves (you can buy them wholesale for $1 a piece!)
