ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

rubber grommet stuck on spark plug

I noticed when I installed new spark plug wires. The rubber boot thing on the end of the O.E.M. spark plug wire connector, came off around the installed spark plug my new boot isnt fitting all the way correctly connected too plug its running fine but i think it might just be arcing to the plug. And i have tried getting something down there to grab it and a spark plug socket wont fit b/c of the rubber grommet in the way err pain in my butt. WHAT SHOULD I DO

^^^^ also, make sure not to let any of the rubber to fall in without the spark plug still in.

question, what wires were they? my brother had my car before me and he always took the cheap route. he had some autozone spark plug wires and every one of them fell apart when i went to change them and the spark plugs. i replaced them with NGK's and will never buy anything of lesser quality.

when that happened to me, i used needle nose plyers to grab the parts that fell apart and/or stuck to the spark plug. good luck

I had my actual spark plug break off inside the tube. I've also had what you're talking about happen and I ended up using a flathead screwdriver and some long ass forceps to pull it out. It took forever but it eventually came out. It's just one of those pain in the ass things. The forceps are the only thing i've used though.

i can't really remember. they were gray in color and had the word 'smart' in the name i believe. just try not to get those anymore if that's what you have. the NGK's can be purchased for like 30 bucks and they're WELL worth it.

i bought mine from this guy because most places around wanted like 40-50. http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=2147235 he had them shipped pretty quick, too.
