Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

You need to get the ECU your tuner is comfortable using, could be a P06 or a P28, either will work as well.

If he doesn't doesn't have vtec, he can just use a p06, and add the circuitry to control the butterfly in the intake (IAB's), and maybe even add the EGR/Boost PWM functionality.

p06's are easier and cheaper to find then a p28 typically, and just by adding a few components can give the same or more functionality then the you could use.

My p06 has the circuitry for vtec, egr/pwm boost, and iab functionality added to it, so its the equivalent to a p72 w/o knock. Cost me less then $100 for parts and the ecu itself.

Then after its "chipped", its up to you what software you would like to have used to tune, and then find your tuner that way.

Finding an tuner that supports ectune or neptune (You need a moates demon / ostrich & hulog) would probably be the cheapest route, or you could always look at the hondata setup.
