ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Brake Lamp Light Is On

Hey Guys I was wondering What is wrong with my Brake Light Lamp. It Went on and off a few times over the summer And Not The light just stays on there solid. All my lights are working perfectly There is No Bulb that Has Been burned out. Just recently i replaced my Licence Plate Light Bulbs with Lumens Blue LED. Do You think its because of that?

Either there is a break in the harness or the circuit is corroded. There may be other problems too.

License plate bulbs do not trigger the dash warning light though.

Clean all contacts in the bulb recesses and the wire harness and use dielectric grease when re-assembling.

If you're referring to the main brake light indicator, (the one that lights up when the e-brake is pulled)...
I'd check your brake fluid first...

check your brake switch, the rubber part probably wore off. if thats what happened its literally a 2 cent fix (if you're referring to the brake lights) but if its the dash, check your brake fluid

I've had the brake/tail light indicator come on, and all my tail/brake lights were working, I bought a few new bulbs, and replaced them all at the same time, and the light has not been back since.

On another note, there is a brown box in the tail lights that sometimes has issues, and replacing that brown box fixes it.

Nope Its Just The Indication That Come On Right Under The picture of The car, Near The Trunk. Where It Says something like Brake Lamp indicator or something. Its Not the light when u pull ur E-brake. But okay ill try the dielectric Grease after but also ill check the rubber behind the pedal as well. Thanks guys

Yes Ill Check the brake switch, for some random reason i thought it was behind the pedal. Where is that brake switch located so I can check the rubber if its worn off or not ?

OK, if it is the indicator under the "little car" then check your third brake light. The one in the rear window...

Check the brown box mentioned earlier, the sensing circuit may be bad.

Sometime it could be the cluster itself, I've swapped between two clusters before and the cluster that indicates brake lamp problems says that both car had lamp problems while all the brake lamps on both car worked just fine.
