    Throttle Cable

Has anyone done an H22 swap and keep cruise control? How did you do it? Modify the H22 throttle cable bracket and use Accord cable? Or use Prelude cable and modify Accord gas pedal? Something else? Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't need to do anything to keep CC. It's a separate unit. Or am I not understanding the question properly? Are you wanting to swap yours for a Prelude one?

I ended up using the Accord throttle cable (which was obviously the only choice), moved the throttle cable bracket towards the throttle (attached to the intake manifold by only one bolt now), and added some washers to the pedal side of the cable to shorten it up. Pedal has proper free play and opens all the way. Should work once I fix my coolant leak(s). I don't see how anyone could say you don't need to do any of this to keep CC. If you look at the H22 and F22 throttle cables side by side, you would see that the adjusting nut is for the Accord cable is 2 or 3 inches closer to the throttle body.

                    hmm...
I didn't have to do any of that to retain proper pedal feel or cruise control.

Good job on figuring it out though. You might want to see about making something a little more sturdy for the throttle cable bracket, but yeah, good stuff.

It feels real snug, but I'm not taking any chances and will be doing just that.
