so, for the longest time i had my 360 hooked up to my 26 inch lg flatron pc monitor. i had it hooked up through hdmi that was plugged into a dvi adaptor. well, lest night i bought a 32 inch samsung led 720p. i have my xbox hooked up to the now with just straight hdmi. the colors look fantastic but the picture is a little more fuzzy than it was on the monitor.
my xbox comes up with a couple resolutions when i hooked it up
480p
720p
1080i
1080p
1024x768
now i put it on 720p because thats what the tv can do. it looks good enough, but not as clear as my monitor. now, when i select 1024x768, the picture is as clear if not clearer than it was on my monitor, but the colors are not great its very grey looking and dark.
so, i guess i have 2 questions.
whats the resolution i should be running to get optimal hd picture through my tv and why does the 1024x768 look sharper than the actual 720p resolution?
i should mention that the monitor it was hooked up to did full hd. its some crazy resolution like 1900x1600 something.
