    Rear fender rubbing (17s)

I just got a new set of 17 wheels and tires. However, The tires I have for the rear; which were handed down (225x45x17), rub pretty hard sometimes when i drive the car or when I turn a corner. My car is lowered about 2.5 inches. How can I take car of this problem w/o having to buy new springs or tires?

if you don't want new springs or tires you can:
      1. just deal with it
      2. cut out any fender well trim
      3. think about cutting/rolling your fenders

your tires are a little beefier than most... i ran 215/45/17, but then i wasn't as dropped as you are. in any event, a 225/45 tire is going to have a higher/larger sidewall and be just a tad wider. new tires will likely be part of the solution, but you already said you don't want to go that route.

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
