ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F22a Swap To F23a

Friends, I could not find a replacement engine for my f22a2 CB7, but I have found the F23a, can I install it? Is it possible? Won't be too difficult?

Were you the same person who asked this on the Facebook classifieds thread?

It's possible, and quite easy to a point, but it does have some complications involving ECU compatability in an OBD1 application. The same applies for most swaps that you would do. You'll use your original harness and distributor and just add VTEC wires to the harness. You'll no longer use the CKP harness on the oil pump. You'll need either an OBD1 P0A ECU or a P28 ECU tuned for the application. Use your factory driver side mount bracket and make sure you have a header for the F22B1/2 or F23A and you're good.

That's pretty much it. Had you searched you would have found most of this out.

I plan on doing the same swap here soon! i just bought a motor from over seas and has a 1 yr unlimited mile warranty. Got it from a local shop here were i live. I was told to use the following f22 parts:

Intake manifold including throttle body, injectors the whole thing
      dizzy
      ps pump
      alternator
post mount bracket for timing but use a f23 timing belt

and then a header off a f22B motor.

      Does this all sound right?

I have managed to connect the F23a block in my F22a, is working to perfection but now I'm having problems with the automatic transmission, you should use the same? The F22A (mine has faults) or can I install the F22B or F23A?

Any transmission that came on an F series will work.
