Replacing ignition switch, must you get a new key?

I saw in this video for the ignition switch replacement. However it's for the 97 Accord. For our CB7, if we replace the switch, do we have to get the new key? Or we could just get the ignition switch part and keep the lock cylinder?
    Any DIY with pictures?
    Thanks.

You can replace the switch portion and leave the lock cylinder alone. Just a couple screws and thats it really.

I am trying to find the part number for that switch portion only. I also looking for a pic to see how our cars look like? I wonder if it looks like the one in the video?
      Thanks.

www.rockauto.com will have the parts for you, or at least a part number
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I bought my ignition switch direct replacement from Autozone for about $50. Still Working fine for more than one year.
