    EXT: Blackhousing Corner Lenses

Can ANYONE tell me how to pull apart my MATRIX clear corners in oreder to paint the inner chrome? I tried the same method as i did my headlights and it did not work.
"you can catch me swoopin 4G coupin switchin lanes" haha haha.

    per cokinut on hs

    Materials:

    - 1 pair of Euro Corner lights
    - Flat head screw driver
    - Epoxy
    - Silicon
    - High Temp Black paint
    - Masking tape
    - Heat gun

    1) Remove Rubber strip from the clear corners

    2) Now heat up the clear corner where the lense meets the housing. Don't heat it up too much cause the plastic is really really cheapo. You just want to loosen the lens. Then get your flat head screw driver and pry the lens from the housing carefully.

    3) Now you should have the below:

    4) Now, get the masking tape and tape off the areas you DO NOT want painted (duh). I chose to tape off the reflector area around the bulb.

    5) Now, this is optional (but highly recommended), you can sand and prime the work area before painting, but i didn't. I chose to go straight for it with 6 light coats with 15- 20 minutes in between coats. For some reason, there were some portions that wouldn't paint.

    6) Now take off the tape

    7) Get the epoxy and glue the housing and the lens back together

    8) After letting the epoxy dry, get some silicon and put it around the area to prevent condensation. Let dry for a couple of hours or until it's not sticky anymore.

    9) final product

    * side notes:

    - These lenses were really shitty.
    - When peeling masking tape off, make sure not to peel too fast or else you can/will peel off the reflective material because *see the above note
    - Make sure to prep well!

            could this be done?

you know the "smoke" spray paint for smoking your back lights, well what about a light coat over the corners,

would that give a nice look?
