Hey since I don't want to create a new thread on things that have already been covered I will ask here: guru

What kind of paint are you using??? I used Krylon exterior trim paint and it is flaky... my grill looks like crap with a bunch of paint chips. Yeah I sanded it and washed it first.

    hold on to your butts

Just prepped everything well, and used good 'ol Krylon. I plan on color-matching the grill (except the wire) when the car is repainted.....

You should try www.rockauto.com CAPA certified bumper covers decient price. I got a rear bumper cover from them. Shiping is a little high though.

Believe it or not, it's a galvanized gutter-guard from The Home Depot / Lowes. They are about $3 each for a guard that measures about 5-6"x48".

Looks good dude....I did this over the weekend and instead of using a hacksaw I used a dremel...Which was kinda a bitch cuz the thing i was usin to cut was too big to fit in some places...but the job got done....I also left the H in front...i just like it there lol.

i did my grill a while back, it took me a while cuhz using the hack saw was a pain, then sanding it was a pain, so i did a lousy job. but then i saw yours and i think im going to do mines over the weekend now.

i know this is back from the dead, but I am going to use a dremel.
                          Any thoughts on that?

you wont be able to get it into the corners to cut the things you need to cut... you can try, but youll see that it doesnt really work. youll end up resorting to a hacksaw for the main cutting, and then a dremel for the grinding to shape.

well said Mike..I tried the Dremel..and it works to a certain point..then you have to use the hack-saw.

Well that's fine b/c I have a hacksaw anyways, I was just thinking it might be easier with the Dremel, but I kind of see what your saying in my head b/c I don't have a grill on hand as I am picking up two tommorow.
Anyways, I am going to make a couple of these for a project I'm working on and I need to make these ASAP.
                                Thanks for the input.
