Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Help with F22B1 suddenly too rich

Hey all, long time no see. I'll try and keep this as short but informative as possible. I have a 1997 accord ex with a built bottom end F22B1 on 10 psi. Recently I've had an issue where any time I make boost, I go full rich and the car sputters and makes no power. The only thing I changed leading up to this was a bigger intercooler. That being said the car ran great for about 20 miles after the install and then all of a sudden started having issues. I've checked every sensor, swapped map sensors, tightened all clamps, checked all vacuum lines, checked spark plugs for fouling, checked for any leaks or weird noises, check fuel pressure, and that's all I've done so far. The car will start right up and run fine out of boost. As soon as I get to 1 psi I peg full rich and like I said the car barely runs. I don't know if it's an ignition issue and I'm suddenly not able to burn all of the fuel, or if its a fuel issue causing too much fuel to be injected. The only other recent thing I did was rebuilt the distributor about 3 months ago. No issues with that what so ever though. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Are you running it with a tune? What are your o2 values when it happens?

P28 street tuned on crome. Stock O2 isn't hooked up, I have my wideband going to the ecu. Soon as I hit boost it pegs 10:1. Either way I actually just fixed it about an hour ago! Ended up being a corroded/broken wire for my vtec. The ecu was dumping extra fuel expecting to be in vtec but it wasn't engaging. Everything runs great once again

Thanks for sharing the solution. Someone has already referenced this thread in an effort to help someone else with a problem that sounds similar!

Not a problem! I'm glad I was able to help! This forum has helped me greatly throughout my Honda journey. Not too many other forums have the same mentality as this
