ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Might Buy A Car, need opinion.

So I just found a local 1992 accord that I am thinking about picking up to replace my cursed one. Here's the skinny, its a DX but has EX rims, the engine has a bent valve, and the odometer doesn't work. The timing belt broke and he replaced it but when it broke it bent a valve in cylinder 3. I can fix that no problem and I would most likely do an interior swap using my 92's red interior in it. He is asking 500, how much would you pay?

Does anyone else have a monthly budget of 10mm sockets or is it just me?

I'd pay the price for it. Just swap your current motor and call it a done deal.

There was a 92 or 93 for sale in my area, almost the same condition, i.e. not running and bad body for $1000. So for $500... Like Henry said, just swap over your current motor.

If you do that, you'll have a spare motor to build/work on.

It can't hurt having a spare car, you can either use it as a parts car or gradually fix it up as a project or a daily and use you other as a project.

If it's not horribly rusted, that's a good price. Better than your bent one. That will never be 100% right.

It has more than $300 worth of parts on it, so regardless, you got a deal!

Needs some TLC on the exterior... so yeah that's a good buy in my book.

The body is great aside from the mirrors and minor paint flaws. No major dents. The interior needs some help, but I am planning on redoing everything eventually.
