ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

So you would think the plasti-dip would last a year?

PlastiDip will last a very long time. We always suggest a minimum of 4-5 coats. We've seen wheels, grilles, ect dipped for over 1 a year without having to be touched up. Unless there is a specific event that damages the PlastiDip, it will hold up great and keep it's finish. It is very durable and will not lose it's bond.
PlastiDIp is extremely resistant to the elements, including sun fading, winter ice, cold, salt ect. A lot of customers actually dip their wheels and cars specifically to protect the original surfaces from the winter season.

              I'd be careful about this.

It may not be a bee's hive but rather something similar (wasp or hornets nest).

Read up on how to protect yourself and ways to clear it before you poke a stick in there or dismantle the mirror (with the insect still inside). They can be very aggressive and can put you or a family member or pet in hospital.

No need fir that. Rubbing alcohol frags them much faster, its insane. Starting fluid too, and brake clean as well. All evaporate clean. A much better alternative to poisons that just piss them off for 5 minutes before that actually die. Seriously though. Brake clean takes seconds.

I was thinking of using black under coating on the moldings and bumpr trim. this stuff is pretty tough and scratch resistant. however it is dull. what are thoughts on bumper paint for molding and side skirts?

Just sand them well, primer, paint, clear coat.

U can use .99cent primer and gloss blk, use good clear coat.

I can make .99 can of spray paint look like a 6 dolla can of paint. All in the prep work man

Like previously stated... prep them well and paint them. Will long outlast any products you wipe on. And I personally think they look better painted. It's also most likely cheaper.
