    Header recommendations (f22)

Looking for recommendations on a decent header for an f22 motor. I replaced the whole exhaust system a few months ago and everything has been fine, but I have developed a leak between the header and the collector.

I tried a few different types of gaskets, but all seem to blow out within a few months. I checked the gasket surfaces with a straight edge and they were almost dead on. Im thinking it just has something to do with the shitty header design. so i would like to replace it in the upcoming months.

Anyone have any experiences with these? i have a feeling the dc one is probably the best, and has a different gasket design which I like. I do however have an OBX muffler, and that has held up really well. I also had pacesetter headers for my pickup, so Im pretty much undecided lol.

    Heres what Im looking at

I'd go Megan before DC anyday. I had a Megan and the fitment was perfect, lasted long, and I didn't blow the gasket. Megan are known for that though, so I sprayed copper gasket stuff on it and it worked till the car was totaled. Same design as DC and half the price. OBX would be fine too I assume, I have the greddy evo catback and done its job. If you have the money just get a damn Bisimoto header and weld the pipes shut on the collector.

This is the one I've had lots of uck with.

This one has been a lot less reliable. I replaced it 4 times in 6 months before finally switching to the one above.

I'm running a generic "Ebay" header with a 2.5" collector welded onto the down pipe.

Yeah I bought the aluminum one. Lasted 2 months then melted out. Unfortunately i already ordered another aluminum one so I will try copper spray a gasket on it this time and then if it blows out order the carbon one. If that blows out I may lookin into the megan header or dc sports.

Probably the same design. My old header used to contact the cross member too, and I had to make room as well. This header hugs the block and oil pan very well.

the DNA motoring header back kit I got was decent besides being bunk t304(piping) and the fart cannon and resonator. The header fit properly, never had gasket issues (but i used copper tack) and an OEM mls exhaust gasket. just had to bump the nuts again after a few heat cycles.
Um it was 63mm mandrel bent, so a hair under 2.5" flanges were good and the hangers. After putting in a magnaflow stock cat replacement and a new muffler it was all good. If youre dropped any be prepared for the downpipe to be squashed into ovals though.

I also want to add that the ceramic DC headers like to crack on the primaries.

                              OT:

What do you call that fitting for the o2 sensor? @ djdubstep

My flex pipe is shot and I would love to weld something on there to replace but the sensor is way too close.
