If I give you the answers how will you learn anything....? Well I'll give you some help if you really need it. Number 1 can be found in windows' device manager, my secondary ide controller is i/o 0170-0177/0376-0376 so I'm gonna say b.170. Keep in mind google is your friend and don't you have an A+ book to use? Use the index and I'll bet you can find all this stuff!

          8. I'll just straight up say it shows an icon in the taskbar...
          9. Soft memory errors are caused by interference, usually from the sun. Since they do not cause any physical damage, the bit that is "flipped" will produce the correct results the next time it is written to. Therefore, all that is necessary is to do a power cycle (reboot)

          11. fdisk /mbr will rewrite a windows MBR
          12.
The reset command sends a reset string to the modem; the string used depends on the modem type selected. For Hayes-compatible modems, this is ATZ.
          13. Celerons have always had slow bus speeds compared to the pentium line...

          15. Parity errors will likely cause a blue screen, which is a fatal exception
          16. That's pretty old school...like 486 old my old 486's bios had that virus checking dohicky which simply prevented changes to the MBR. When you upgrade to another OS, you will more than likely be changing your MBR, so I would go with that.
          17. 1284 works in hlaf-duplex

BTW, sorry if I insult you, but if you're going for your A+ certification, you'll need to know some of this stuff. At least a third of it is pertinent, and if you want to fix pc's you'll need to know it as you know the back of your hand. Good luck, and let me know if you still need some help. Btw.....

he answered 19, the answer to 17 is u disable bios virus checking when upgrading os....at least it makes sense cuz it would detect the upgrade as a virus accessing ur boot section.
