    Domesticated: 1998 Dodge Neon R/T

I've actually owned a '98 Neon R/T before. I just bought this for 1500! It's intent is to relieve fuel cost from the Jeep on my 600 mile/week commute. And to be a track rat while the Honda is down. As many of you know my Honda has ran less miles in the last 3 years than I have and I'm 275lbs...

Here is the list from the for sale ad:
    DOHC Engine
    White with Blue Stripes
car was rebuilt about 5 years ago. It has a lot of upgrades on it that include:
    Cold Air Intake,
    Larger Throttle Body
    Comp Cams #10 camshafts
    New valve springs
    Valve Job
    Valve Seals
    Adjustable Cam Gears
    Water pump replaced
    Starter replaced
    alternator replaced
    Under pulley
Head Gasket Replaced with MLS gasket
Timing belt has about 40,000 miles on it.
Replaced Engine ECU with Mopar performance ECU.
    Mid length headers
Spark plug wires and MSD module
    New Radiator
    Oil Pressure Gage added.
Engine was rebuilt when all this was added.
Limited Slip Differential- trans was gone through at the same time.
Upgraded to 2001 Neon Front hubs, bearings and half shafts
    New Tie Rods, ball Joints
Poly bushings in engine mounts and front suspension. I have the rears but those have not been replaced.
stock aluminum rims with new tires
Spare set of wider rims 15 inch.
    BC Coilovers
    Replaced rear wheel bearings
Calipers and Steel braided brake lines and rear steel brake lines replaced
    Replaced master cylinder
    SRT4 Front drivers seat
    Power Windows and door locks

It's a bit rusty, but mechanically sound lol.

I had a friend in high school that had a '98 R/T in this exact color scheme. These white R/Ts seem to be the only white Neons of this vintage where the paint isn't peeling away in resentment of the rest of the car.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

I got a set of Motegi 15x7's with it. Ordered a set of Conti Extreme Contact tires in 205/50ZR15. Should be better than the super soft scary Linglong 185/65R14's on it right now...

Weren't these models highly competitive in SCCA racing? IIRC they were one of the first cars available at Skip Barber as well.

The Neon ACR was a force to be reckoned with back in the day. Koni yellow adjustables, 14:1 steering rack, heavy duty hubs and bearings, 150hp 2300 lbs. A stock ACR or R/T with track tires pulls 1G on a skid pad. Both cars have pretty aggressive hearing too.
