If pulled, a quick tear down&rebuild would certainly do the trick!
I'd do that with any motor found at the JY.
I normally look for wrecked cars, because you know It was running at one point in time. Non-wrecked cars are in the JY for 3 reasons, or more..
    1. Doesn't run.
    2. Tranny
    3. Electrical

    Hope that helps!
he makes an excellent point jy motors dont have service records or anything of that nature and as far as jy motors go thats my standard routine for pulling them. As far as your options are going like this guy had mentioned i would go with that h22 and rebuild it for an all motor beast....but thats just me

What's with the multi-colored, multi-sized text? Looks like the Trix Rabbit got drunk and stumbled onto the forum...

As said, the F22A is a JDM motor (JDM motors have no number). It's basically an F22A6. Nothing special. The F22B1, as said, is a reliable motor... but not a worthwhile performance swap. It CAN perform, but there's no reason to pull an F22A for one... and the swap difficulty is about equal to an H22A. Not worth the effort when the same level of power could be made very easily with an F22A.

That H22A may be shot, but that's the best of all of them. If you can get it super cheap, do it... and rebuild it. Rebuild it properly, and you can end up with a brand new H22A for about the price of a used JDM swap.
If you're going to swap engines, the H22A is one of the only ones really worth the effort. Anything else, keeping the F22A is a better idea.
