ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

After purchasing it I would wax it about once a month by hand, or when ever the water no longer beaded off. Eventually the clear got scratched up enough to where there wasn't any point to waxing it anymore. I think this was my own doing. I should have used a new wax applicator every time.

I try to wax it up at least once a month or every 2 months.

Once before and after summer since that's when the paint takes a real beating. Other than that, I just wash it once a week on my day off and detail what ever needs detailing (i.e. wheels, tires, moldings, interior).

Working at a car dealership makes it easy to wash it every day, i do maguires spray wax and detailer every other day, and a full hand wax once a week, might skip a week here and there.

Waxing my car would be just cleaning a condom out

                  What is the point?

I waxed my car once wen I first got it.
It didn't make a difference to me so I haven't done it since.
I could agree on the never choice, we have 20+ yr old sunfaded paint LOL

i make it a habit to clay before wax, so every 2-3 months since its laborious to do all that.

With school in the way, I'm only able to do my 5-step wax method once every 2 months (at best). Wash, clay, glaze, sealer, wax...then a full interior buff with Armor-all and fabric cleaner - it's painstaking.

i've never waxed it before, if i was gonna i'd do the full claybar and everything but the thing holding me back both front doors have large chunks of rust that brought it down to the sheet metal...dont really know what to do about it any thoughts? its white so i thought waxing would make the orange metal stand out more
