Someone could use that info later, should make searching a breeze!
I figured since it was so easy to do in checkout why not.

I went ahead and took a pic of the H23 plenum and throttlebody. It's on another engine I have sitting around.

And while I was at it, a set of wagon brake calipers & rails. Going to have the calipers rebuilt by a specialist in town for $25 each. I'm fond of Brembo rotors and will use a set of NAPA pads. Probably wait until later this year to install.

And the F22A4 manifold as well. Don't know if I'm going to see any gains with it but in theory it should flow better. Not to mention it's not cast like the F22A6 exhaust manifold is which is on now.

I bought the parts to install this exhaust manifold today as well.

    90065-PC1-300 Exhaust Manifold Stud (3)
    18212-SB2-961 Metal Exhaust Gaskets (2)
    90212-SA5-003 Exhaust Nuts (3)
    Fel Pro Exhaust Manifold Gasket

All that's left for this is tracking down a heat shield.

I dug the JDM side markers out. As soon as I find a replacement driver side fender the right color I will be installing these.

Speaking of body repair. I need to figure out how to fix the trunk...

Got a TCU on the way thanks to a member on here. It's even the right one, 92/93 EX/SE. And for half the price they go for on eBay.

Got an EGR valve gasket today. Might as well clean the EGR valve and the ports I figure.

Now I just need time to work on it!

Yep. It's been seeping for a while. As stated earlier in the thread I have everything OEM to fix that including lower spark plug tube seals (which are not leaking but I want to replace anyways). Got a new tube of Hondabond for the cam humps too. Even the oil cap o-ring is OEM. Sunday/Monday that will get done. The valve lash will be set in the midst of this as well.

Bought a new window regulator and motor assembly for the driver side front from Rockauto. The current motor likes to make a "stripping" sound every once in a while and needs a little help.

Passenger side front works perfectly. Back windows don't work. That's next as for window regulators and motors.

Had some time to work on this today. Don't get to often and I'm gathering parts like crazy for it!

First thing was getting the faulty TCU out. Removing the ECU/TCU cradle. Pretty straight forward.

Upon removing the old TCU I had to inspect it to verify that a faulty TCU was the issue (even though I was pretty darn positive anyhow) by verifying burnt components on the board. Which are pictured blow.

Replacement TCU installed and putting this problem behind us.

Valve lash adjustment with the addition of Genuine Honda valve cover gasket/seals.

All valves were checked before adjustment to see how far out of spec they were. Every exhaust valve was between 0.010 and 0.011 and every intake valve was between 0.011 and 0.012. Exhaust was too tight while intake was too loose.

Feeler gauges, fresh tube of Hondabond HT, and a package of Genuine Honda valve cover gasket/seals.

Broke the PCV valve almost immediately.

Nice gold color! Not even a speck of sludge. Anywhere. I was scrapping the top of the head bolts trying to find some. Nada.

The old Genuine Honda valve cover gasket, installed by Honda complete with Hondabond.

                      Timing cover removed.

Adjusted the valve lash, and prepped the new valve cover gasket.

I got to meet the Genuine Honda timing belt that was installed 9,000 miles ago by Honda. I have the paper work showing this as well. Nice to see it with my own eyes.

Then I took it to the local car wash with a gallon jug of my special degreaser and got started cleaning the bay up. This is the outcome.

I stay on buying parts and replacing things.

The replacement TCU made it a whole different car. Smoother, properly timed shifts. Torque converter locks up a bit earlier. It shifts at the proper RPM. It made a world of difference.

To bad it will be converted to a 5 speed.

Thought I was going to install the new driver side window regulator and motor I bought from RockAuto tonight.

I got the old regulator and motor out and was attempting to install the new unit. At first I was wondering why it wasn't bolting up but then I took it back out of the door and I saw how bent it was. The pictures below tell the story.

I had to put the old regulator and motor back in so I could roll the window back up. And now I get to fuck with shipping this bent piece of shit back and the box they shipped it in is 9 foot fucking tall. And I'll have to fork over the money for shipping. Fanfuckingtastic.

I installed the section from the old window regulator assembly onto the new one.

$15 isn't much to ask for. I could have done what most would have done and sent it back and got another one. They would spend more than $15 just in shipping. Lets see how this goes...
