Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Gasket finding help for megan header!!

I got my megan header and installed it and it was great. People warned me about using the gasket set that came with the header but i used them anyways...and now my car sounds like shit. Can you guys please help me find a better set to buy?

ULTRA COPPER gasket maker at your local autopart store. $6 and enough to make a lot of gaskets.
ebay gaskets are fine too, i've never had a problem with ebay gaskets on N/A cars, just tighten the bolts to like 100ft lb

Cant find the one i need there >.<

I need the one between the flex pipe and the cat. And it's not a circle. It has three bolt holes in it and a circle in the middle. Looks tilted as well.

well you can go to auto zone or pep boys they have those after market gaskets. i don't know how good they are. they also have these metal gaskets which i haven't seen them before. they come with bolts and supposedly you can reuse them any time you want.

I think you can take your header to autozone or any parts store and try to match up one of those gasket sets to the the manifold......

Hedman part number 27180 is gonna be your friend here. worked for me. got it from summitracing. dont do the copper gasket bullshit, eventually it blows out regardless. this gasket is thick, and works wonders.

I think he needs the weird triangular shaped gasket after the DP and before the cat.
