The 11" rotors + VTEC calipers make such a huge difference

Christ

I have shitty below OEM grade rotors, AEM pads (I think), VTEC calipers....

Pedal feel is firm as hell and there's no fade

It's great

A must mod

91-93 Wagon front rotors
91-93 Front brake calipers w/ brackets (These are the same as Vigor)

That's it. Simple and very effective.

For wagon owners:

EBC or Brembo front rotors
Green stuff pads

With either setup, be prepared to kiss the windshield!!!!

Man...... So after 27 bucks for the complete vigor caliper setup and wagon rotors and pads, I'm in love with my car again, the difference in braking power is BIG, this is a must for anyone

Lightbulb ok?

does any of these set ups hurt your ABS?? I need brakes like 6 months ago!! 4 real.. and everyone is talking about the rotors im not trying to convert to 5 lug...... ok so this is the set up i want to do say yes i CAN DO THIS or no i can not do this. lol.. i want to do a nsx caliper, acura cl 99 rotor and hub assembley, so i can do all that stuff myself and nsx pads. this is the set up i want to do can i do this set up?

plus for everyone keep in mind that when you ask for 99 cl rotors ask for the v6 ones because v6 and 4 cylinders are different..

I converted to Prelude 5 lug and my ABS hasn't worked right. However, I have good tires now so I don't need it. I have had a few panic stops and I have yet to lock up the wheels.

ABS on my car worked fine before and after the brake swap. If you're having problems I'd get it checked out.

Has anyone bought the Tas auto conversion kit that comes with hubs/bearings, rotors, and pads? Does it use the stock accord calipers? Isn't upgrading to the prelude vtec calipers what actually makes a difference in stopping power?

Did you change the axle to go 5 lug? I think I read somewhere that you did that. If so, isn't that the likely cause?

I know this is his car but i can try and help out here. IF im not mistaken as long as the axle has the ABS ring around it its fine! so then no he would not have to change it out.

I would do the following:

Prelude VTEC or Legend GS calipers
Brembo or Powerslot BLANKS
Hawk HP or EBC street pads
Name brand stainless steel lines
GOOD TIRES (probably the most important part)

Lookin at this ur prob in for like $1K worth of parts, but there are deals to be had. For example, I bought my tires from a take-off dude for $250 (basically half price). And the rotors + pads are like $350 on Tire Rack. So if u search u can find good prices.
