Don't get me, wrong, I do love my Gigabyte mobos, and I still build all my systems with them! Just had a bad batch of a particular board (between 2 of them, I've done 3 RMA's...)

nice computers everyone. I think when I have the funds or should I say, when my wife let's me, I want to run a coolant cooled system like my nephew is to his computer. now my computer's got 3500 64 bit amd with like 2.41 gigs ( I think). something like that, my nephew built it for me, I guess I am computer illiterate. I believe the tower costed me like 1100-1200, and it was built a couple years ago, almost three. before my computer took a shit, there is an LED light show on the front of the computer, and when those lights shine on the front, it looks like a marijuana leaf.......YEAH!
The beginning of a new era............................
165 hp 149 ft. lb. torque sohc non vtec. then....
184 whp and 149 ft. lb. torque f20b stock now......

not at all. it was just a little over $700 with tax and shipping. and that was with everything... mobo, cpu, video card, fan, 2gb memory, case, power supply, 2 hd's and a dvd dl burner.

Man, that's awesome. It's amazing how quickly prices drop on PC stuff. 3 years ago I built a PC for the same price, here's what I managed to get (mostly from Newegg):

                              Athlon XP 2400+
Asus nForce 2 motherboard (A7N8X-X model)
                              512MB Corsair DDR
                              nVidia FX5200 (Asus)
80GB Western Digital P-ATA hard drive
                              Lite-on 52x read / 24x write CD burner
                              refurbished Dell 17" CRT
Logitech keyboard and mouse (MX-310 mouse, cheap media keyboard)

Anyway, maybe a little late, but here's a list of free (legal ) software I'd recommend downloading if you haven't already:

                              internet: Mozilla Firefox
                              e-mail: Mozilla Thunderbird
                              anti-spyware: Ad-Aware SE, Spybot Search & Destroy
antivirus: I've heard ClamWin is good, but I haven't used it
office: OpenOffice (like Microsoft Office, but free)
instant messaging: Pidgin (used to be Gaim)
audio player: Foobar 2000 (Winamp is decent too, but I prefer foobar)
video player: VLC player (plays DVD's, no need for annoying codecs)
                              file unzipping: 7Zip
PDF reading: Foxit Reader (like Adobe Reader, but way smaller to install)
photo manipulation: GIMPshop (like Photoshop, but once again, it's free and legal)
misc: CCleaner (not a typo) - used to clean up all the misc. temp files you don't need anymore, also searches for and fixes registry problems

                              I'm sure I'm missing something, but there's a start.

to add to that, I like comodo for the firewall, with zonealarm as a second choice, and avg as an antivirus

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
