ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    BB6 Dash swap

I decided it wasn't enought to just swap the BB6 Cluster into my CB7 Coupe. So, I am going to swap in the entire dash along with it! I got a pretty good start on it today. To do this, I cut out the outer perimeter of my CB7 dash, which will be mated to the inner portion of the BB6 Dash. The reason I'm doing this is to keep the four factory mounting points on the sides, and retain use of my defroster vents. I'm not running A/C anymore and I don't drive the car in the winter, so I don't really need to make the rest of the BB6 dash vents operable, but I might. We'll see how it plays out. Anyway, here's where I'm at so far, fitment is pretty close, just need to mold the two pieces together.

I have a BB6 prelude that I'm using all the parts from so it makes it a little easier to do this. I am also going to try to integrate the center console into the design. To do this I'll have to use the BB6 E-brake assembly. Shouldn't be too bad since the metal part that holds the ebrake lever and shifter assembly above the exhaust tunnel is just spot welded on. I'll probably drill out those spot welds, drill out the welds on my mounting plate, and weld the BB6 part in place. I'm also hoping that it will raise my shifter a little for autocross purposes.

I'll take pics whenever I get the chance and keep you updated!

nice i have been waiting for a dash swap to be done. cant wait to see some more pics and progress on this. if the exterior on your car is any sign of the work you do this should come out great. i personally like the bb4 lude dash with that "space ship" look i might have to look into swapping that over. and that one has speakers built in too.

        good luck

No, it wouldn't, except that I used the end caps of the CB7 dash to accomplish a smooth transition!!
