The knob alone still shows as available on Majestic, P/N 47142-671-010.

Somehow I've tried looking for this for years and came up empty. But I just checked with my local dealer and he found several in LA so maybe Monday I should have it!
Thanks again for checking...
BTW this part number goes back to the 70's as these were used on Civics and other models for decades - go figure.

So here's a question... has anyone actually replaced this part?
I've checked the Helm manual and can only find an exploded diagram without any instructions.
Looking at the new part it has what appears to be an internal threaded hole. So I just took my channel lock pliers and tried to unscrew the original. After turning it counterclockwise a few turns I thought I was making progress until it just snapped off
Googling it wasn't any help either... why are the simplest things so difficult!?

There is a way to get this all apart. But you have to take the e-brake out of the car. So the removal of the center console and e-brake lever is required. I had this fully disassembled when I took the black handle off of a Vigor e-brake handle and modded onto our CB7 e-brake handle. I think there is a write-up on this somewhere on the site. It's a long time since I had it all broken down.

Just checked out the post but doesn't mention how he swapped it just has before and after pics...
All I want to do is just change this damn button... you'd think after all these years someone would have documented this
