ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    RDM meets

Hey guys it's ya boi Broke_cb7! lol I sound like a idiot with that intro
So as a 17yr old with kid with a cb7 I dream of going to pnw's popular car meet area, the rdm meet. Right now I haven't done jackshite to the except clean the air filter and replace a tire but I have saved up some money and I'm still saving up for a f20b. Anyways I was wondering if anybody has been to a rdm meet before and could tell me past experiences attending one. So far I've been told that somebody had drove thier "Jdm Ford Focus" and was attacked on site (not literally lol that would be a sight to watch) and there are the local ricers.

    Welcome!
I haven't been to that specific meet, as I'm on the other side of the country... but I've been to a number of large meets. There are asshats at every meet once the meet gets to a certain size. People that want to brag, show off, rev their engines, do burnouts, and generally not play well with others.
The thing is to remember that you just need to do you. Show up, follow the rules, park where you're supposed to park, and be courteous to everyone else. If it's anything like the REALLY big meets I've been to, there will probably be a number of people directing traffic and telling you where to go.
Don't insult anyone's car, regardless of how laughable their modifications may be. Don't let anyone else's insults get under your skin. "Real enthusiasts" never seem to understand why anyone would want to modify an old Accord. Just let their idiotic comments slide off your back. You don't need to impress them.
Otherwise, have fun. Talk to everyone. Learn about their projects. Share your enthusiasm. That's what makes meets like that great. When people get together to share and appreciate a love of cars, it makes everything more fun.

Why have you decided on an F20B over an H22A? The H22A tends to cost more, but it's a superior engine in every way... and it's easier to install and repair (F20B, being JDM, has no parts available in the US.)

Also, just because I couldn't resist... here's a JDM Ford Focus.

Thanks for the advice! I would choose the h22a but im kinda stuck about what i wanna swap though i know I said f20b but now I've been researching and geez for someone whos young i feel like a lost child with all these swaps. So i thought, i could challenge myself if i wanna be a good with working with cars so i thought f22b1 sohc or f23b sohc if i choose sohc I have to worry about vtec wiring and Figuring out not to blow the engine up.
