ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Install 6.5s in 93ex front door?

    Hi,

I was wondering how hard (or easy) it would be to install 6.5s in the front of my 93 ex. I know it comes stock with 5.5s but I can get a nice pair of 6.5s for free if I can get them to work. If anyone has any suggestions or info for me that would be great!

    Thanks,
    -SenorLoco

It's pretty easy, all you have to do is find or make some kindda ring to space em away from the door some so you'll have clearance for your window to come down. Best thing to do is let down the window, take off the door pannel, and find or make a ring that'll space out enough for window clearance. Your stock cover should be able to fit on top still.

Thanks...I'll have to rip apart the door and take a look and see what I can come up with. If anyone happens to have any pictures that might be helpful I would appreciate it.

      Thanks again!

I have a 91 LX junker and a 92 EX, so I just took the brackets out of the LX which are 6.5. If you can find a junkyard just grab the 6.5 front speaker housing off the front panels, and throw them in

all I did with my Clarion 6.5" speaker install was cut off the back of the speaker bucket so the magnet will clear....its fits fine....if u have deeper speakers like Alpine Type R's ....you could always make a spacer using plastic stock from HomeDepot or Rona.

they just have a plastic peice holding the speaker that improves the all round response, jus ttake the shit out cuz its useless. go to best buy and buy a speaker ring for like 15 bucks or get a peice of mdf and cut ur own ring. you can also get speaker adapters that will plug in ur factory plug for like 12 i think (depending on where u live). all trims of accords have the same holes, the only difference in the mounting bracket, like ex's have a 6x9 speaker bracket, 6.5s in the lower models in the rears and those are just in the speaker grills, so thats an easy swap.
