My 93 accord needed a new engine so I decided to put a f22b in it. I took it to a local shop to have the swap done. When I got my car back I noticed the speedometer was not working. I called them back and they said they would have to check to see what kind of sensor it needed and they would call me back. They never called me back.
My experience with this shop was a total nightmare and I really didn't want to bring it back to them.(my car sat for 2 years before I got it fixed and wasn't sure if it was the shops fault or not)
I did some reading on this site and figured it was the vss. (engine light was throwing code 17). I bought a new vss off of ebay and replaced it with the old one. My speedometer is still not working. I even double checked to make sure it was plugged all the way in.
What could be the problem? Did the shop not wire something up correctly? I would really like to fix this myself if possible. I only want to take it back to the shop as a last resort.
All help appreciated.
