i have 225 width tires on my 17x7in rims. they will rub in the back unless you roll your fenders. pics of them installed on my car in MRT. i don't have any pics of them off the car...

I haven't rolled my fenders yet, so i had to adjust my ride height accordingly.

225s are a little fat for 7inch wide wheels, I'm running 205/40/17 on my 17x7 and they are perfect, imo. They aren't stretched at all and have a perfectly vertical sidewall.

yeah, 225 are a lil' too much. the largest I would recommend would be 215s. I'm on 215s mounted to an 8" rims.

Reason I ask about 225s because I have a chance to get some cheap 215s was my original plan but they seem to be more expensive then 225s.Function>form car looks pretty good nice and beefy but I'll be a little lower.

It's still a good chance you're going to rub if your fenders aren't rolled.

...and there are tons more on 16s, 17s, and 18s who experienced rubbing. Offset and drop height will also play a major factor.

225 is the same as 8.85" wide, roughly. Take a tape measure and put it under your wheel well from the edge of the fender to the furthest part of the inner well. You'll be able to gain an idea of the space that's available.

Mine rubbed on my rear control arm. a 5mm spacer took care of that, but I'm still stock height

Im running 215/45/17 on 17x7 +38. Im tucking a little bit of tire all around and did have to hammer in the back fenders a bit, not too much though maybe just like 3 inches of the lip on each side. No mas rubbing

225 is just fine depending on wheel offset. that has been my favorite width of tire on the CB and i have had a LOT of different wheels/tires on my cb...

below is 225/45/16 on a 16x7 +45 regamaster EVO on my cb which is plenty low.
