ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Axle? bearings? something loose? Idk, please HELP!

Yo fellas, I got my megan header installed today at a shop and when I got my car back for some reason when I step on the clutch its catches just fine but it sounds and feels like it grinds like if I was grinding a gear but on the clutch pedal. It rattles while im driving and it sounds like something around the front left axle is loose. I have no idea what it is and a diagnostics out here people charge just to look at it so I need help if anyone has had this problem before or can ask me some questions of certain shit that happens to see if you guys can help me find the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

Its most likely the block mount underneath on the downpipe that they failed to mount.

Personally, if I were in this situation, I wouldn't mount it, another member had that exact spot tear away from the header leaving him 2 holes where the welds were ripped away. It was a Megan header also. The flexpipe is sufficient to handle all the flexing the header experiences.

You might also have to remove the OEM bracket off the block as well since that's the part that protrudes out and is touching the header. I'm thinking they just left that on there and removed the header when they did the install.

you should just remove the stock OEM bracket and toss it out. I've had my exhaust on there for years and don't have any cracked welds or anything of the sort.

That "trembling" could be the exhaust rubbing on the heatshield if you have an aftermarket catback on there. I had to bend some of them up and out of the way to make it clear when it swings from side to side on the hangers.

that's exactly what it feels like, like its rubbing the heatshield. Thanks man I'm going to work on it next week I hope thats all it is and nothing more severe.
