ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    F22 Frankenstein, B16A or H23A?

    Quick question about swapping..

Would you head swap an F20B DOHC VTEC head onto a F22B1 SOHC VTEC block, or do a complete swap for a B16A or JDM H23A VTEC?

    Thank you.

Let me spare deev and all othere members on here the trouble.

B series won't swap in and if you modified one to swap in it would be under powered for the weight of your accord.

Franke F series will not be as reliable as you would like it to be. And it requires alot of hassle(IMO).

H Series Is your best bet. This is what works the best as far as swapping goes. Been done a million times and can be done in a weekend if all parts have been purchased ahead of time.

You also have the option of Boostin' your F series. Just throwing that idea out there for ya man.

Thanks for the ideas.. How well does the F series handle boost (6-10 psi?)? Would I be better off boosting my F22 or swapping the H23A?

The B16 will pull the Accord just fine. Mind that the CB's on other countries have the F18A Carb with 105 hp.

However , the extensive work needed to be done in order to properly fit the B series engine is the obstacle. In the end , it is not worth it.
The overall cost will be more than a H22A swap.

Just slap in a regular engine that was really meant for an Accord and call it a day. I really don't understand frankie set-up's though.

Look at the Grey/Gray bar on the top part of this forum. Use it also if you haven't already, Read the Stickies! It will help out out immensly!

It is better to read other Thread and post your question in that thread. You will get a better answer that way then just creating another thread.

H23A Vtec, direct fit. Why fabricate mounts for a less powerful engine?

Do you happen to know what ECU and wiring harness I'll have to grab for the H23A?

s4l, I suggest that you do your own research. Read through the "swaps" section of this site. You clearly know absolutely nothing about the engines you are asking about, or how they would work with your car. You're being spoon fed bits and pieces of information, and it's only going to confuse you more. Trust me, NOBODY is going to want to take the time to teach you everything that you need to know... especially when it's already written out for you.
Go to the Swaps section, read the info on the various engines, installation procedures, etc... Come back with specific questions. Questions that show you've learned enough to possibly understand the answers given to you. Until then, please stop wasting our time. We're not going to think for you. We can't tell you what you want in your car.

No worries, I pointed him to look in the swaps section at swapping an OBD-2 H22.

6-10 PSI on what turbo? GT42? No. GT28RS? Not for long. T25? Yeah I can definately see more than 10 on a stock F(assuming recently rebuilt). T28? Yeah. 16G? Probably. T3/To4E? Should, reference T25 above. Also are we asuming stock everything else and no intercooler? The amount of pressure vs CFM is also dependent on how free flowing the exhaust is, how cold the air is, and a lot of other factors you seem to be neglecting.

Are you telling him to put a T25 on his 2.2L engine?
Might as well strap a butane torch directly to the head instead.
