ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Brake fluid trasfering to abs reservoir

I have had my 93 accord ex wagon for 4 years now and i have run into this problem i bleed the brakes with new fluids in the reservoir and with in a couple off days i loose it all cause it is transferring to the abs reservoir and is overflowing. My abs never worked cause of a bad wheel sensor and never cared to fix it, but this problem is killing me and i am going to sell the wagon and want to fix it... What can it be??-

You have a bad modulator. More specifically a blown solenoid seal. Is your abs functional?

The junkyard or the classifieds here. Or you can follow the abs delete DIY and eliminate it completely

I can post the rebuild instructions. If you choose to follow through, you can post a DIY.

Edit: you will also have to source o-rings for the pistons

The diy would be helpful. The seal you say i need to replace are just the piston o rings?

I have a similar issue. I'm leaking brake fluid out of my ABS reservoir fill opening. About half a reservoir every 6 months. The top is always wet and everything in the system is new except the module. My guess is when the ABS activates I purge fluid from the pressurized system into the ABS reservoir causing it to eventually overflow. Any ideas?

                      Pics are up, obviously.
@domesticated The pump is feeding back into the reservoir? Strange, maybe it's pushing past a piston seal. I'll have to look at the block diagram and see how the pump is connected.

Thanks for the images above, I'll get around to it this summer. Probably needs a cleaning and new seals anyway. But I was thinking it was moving past the seal somehow.

                          BTT....
Has anyone successfully been able to change any Seals or O-rings and correct this Brake fluid migration issue?

Mine is so bad at this point I have to transfer fluid back to the master cyclinder about once a week...lol

                          Thanks,
                          Mike

I have this problem as well on both of mine. At least with one of them the brakes still work, I just have to pay attention to the fluid. On the other, they barely work at all, even with a new master cylinder I have some spare pumps and modulator, but haven't had the time to try and see if they would work.
