EXT: Making your own Corner lights! (Clear, Amber, & Black) PIX!

    NOT REPOSIBLE FOR YOUR MISTAKES!
and if this has been covered before that's great!
i looked thru the DIY and didn't find anything plus
    i got a few pics

Only for 9293 Corners (haven't tried on 9091)
    ______________________________________________

Okay it all started with these OEM Stanley Corner lights

And when i bought my CB7 my car only had 1 corner light the other one was cracked

so i threw that (1) corner light in the storage and bought me some amber corners.

but today while i was cleaning out the basement i saw this and decided to experiment

i carefully took the cover off the front with a little heat (heat gun) and prying it

and then i took a small screwdriver and took the WHOLE reflector part out!
along with 1 screw in the back that holds it in place (insde the rubber breather thing)
be careful when prying the reflector out you can scratch the corner!

    and it's out!
and you are left with this

^ tha'ts with the Cover back on allready!
if you want chrome you can silicone the corner and let it dry!
and install on your Accord! and there you go you have FREE! Chrome Corners
that looks almost like the real ones

If you want Amber or Black, you can paint them!
you would probally use the Michaels Stained Glass Amber for Amber
    and any black for Black!

but you would have to get AMBER BULBS if you don't trouble with the police!

heres a test fit on my car

i've only got one and idk if im gonna paint it black or not! i will see..

and you can paint em amber now since all the Amber JDM (not) Corners disappered off of ebay

i will try to get more OEM corners and paint amber, and black later!

and post pics if you decide to do this!

but be carefully im not responsible if you break your corner there over 15 years OLD!

90-91 corner lamp reflectors are actually part of the outer housing. the amber reflectors are form-fitted into the exterior and if they're removed (that is, if they can even be removed), you're left with a huge gaping hole in the corner lamp.

although i don't understand how you guys accept fitting corners into your cars that don't have reflectors, leaving your bulbs exposed and delivering poor lighting in the process, power to you for the effort involved.
                    My pictures/photos will return soon...

well i've seen tons of those Reflector less on ebay and my
girlfriends cb7 came with Ebay All Clear corners and i put MY MADE corner
up to it and it's 99% the same!
except that the outer housing doesn't say stanley

idk but i love my JDM (NOT) Amber w/ reflectors =]
