How to get gold ring out in ABS Pump

I am following this tutorial from Honda Tech Site https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...-pics-2830570/ (sorry yall didnt have on here). It is for fixing code 1 on abs for pump over run. Am at getting the gold ring off inside of ABS Pump. What is the effn trick? I have tried many different angle picks and most i can't even get under the ring. Anyone did this before and can briefly explain. Thanks.

There is a thread, but I just fixed the photos.

I used a pair of right angle screwdrivers to pull the ring out (picture in the thread).

I used them because I already had them. Put a 90 degree bend in a couple large nails - anything that will allow you to hook a couple of the slots. I just wanted to avoid pulling it with a pair of pliers and damaging it.

I used some allen wrenches actually.

ok got it all back together and ready to install back in car. I am assuming that i can't bleed it myself. That i must take it to someone who has an alb machine. Is this correct? If i can bleed myself is there a diy for the ones that have separate abs pump.

You think this is wise for me to do. Am wondering how much a shop charges for this. I don't want to spray brake fluid everywhere.

I have never attempted it. I think most guys at this point just eliminate the system. You might check with your local Honda dealer if they even still have the equipment and request a quote.

I have a local shop that will do it for 95 bucks. Some shops just want to use a vacuum that they use for regular brakes. I definitely don't want to eliminate it and i've come too far now to just delete it. Have had abs save me from accident once before on another car.

                        $95 sounds reasonable.
