ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    CB9 Weird power lock issue

I've searched the forums to try and find an answer, but I'm not having any luck.

So the problem I'm having is that I have to manually lock the doors, however, I can unlock them just fine by means of switch and key (I do not have factory alarm or key fob). I can hear a relay clicking when I try to use the switch to lock the doors, but nothing happens. I guess my control board for the locks is bad? I haven't had a chance to take it out and have a look yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Side note: I found out that the little actuator for the driver side door for when you lock with the key is missing, but that shouldn't affect the entire locking mechanism right? I can unlock from the passenger key and the tailgate key, but as I said before cannot lock by any means other than manually pushing down the locks on the door panels.

    Thanks in advance guys!

So the driver door key will lock only the driver door and not power activate the other locks? Or the driver side key doesn't lock or unlock anything?

On my CB7 if I push the lock down and then shut the door it unlocks the door, same on your 9?

Mine does the same thing. I find if I hold the door handle in the open position while I hit the lock button it will lock the doors but if I don't hold it open, it just unlocks the door when I shut it.

I had the same thing happen some of the power locks would work fine while others wouldn't. Also I had to manually lock the doors because the power from the drivers door outside wouldn't kick all the locks. I had to replace the lock module in the door. Picked one up off eBay for about $20.
