    Blinking D4 Gear indicator light!

As of two days ago, my car's gear indicator D4 light on the dasboard blinks on when i turn the car on. Also, when i press down on the throttle i dont get the sudden response that i used to; the RPMs climb extremly slow. i looked in the haynes manual, but i didnt have time to do a thourough check can anyone help me out?

That D4 light is flashing a code I think, find out how to read it in that haynes and then find out what the code means. Its probably something like the first set of flashes is hundreds, then the second is tenths, and the third is ones.

Sounds like your TCU is going out on you.

its probly stuck in 2nd gear or maybe even 3rd. its happened to me a lot. the TCU is bad. sometimes it works if u turn the car on and sit for a minute. mine used to make a clicking noise and then it would work
