    Blancer pulley?

I replace a completely seperated harmonic balancer pulley early this year i wanna say january, with one i purchased from auto(death)zone, my problem is that pulley has begun to seperate as well there is maybe a little more than a quarter of the rubber holding the pulley together...my question is being that i will most definitly be replacing this yet again, is there a place anyone knows where i can find a good quality balancer pulley beside AZ or would it be best to pull one off at a scrapyard? my only problem with that would be the ill knowledge of the age of the pulley which will probably be the pulley originally sold with the car...as far as anyone knowing a good parts shop to buy one i am located in so cal, thanks for any advice

Also (forgot to add in my last post) seeing that these solid pulleys are damaging so frequently is there another issue i should be addressing or are these pulleys im buying just crap, as is my current assumption?

One available here (looks like a small chip out of one flange): http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=205378

I've never had one fail. Maybe if the balance shafts aren't timed correctly it is harder on the harmonic balancer??

Dude the pulley i bought from autozone was solid i couldnt believe it came apart like it did i honestly thought they were one piece but i guess the rubber that binds the two pieces together is wearing fast ive never experienced this in any vehicle ive owned either...so you think it could be a timing issue? Ill check it out thanks for the input

When in doubt check your local dealership. If they are able to get the part you may be surprised at how cheap they can be. Vs having to get one shipped from an online parts store.

I checked www.hondaautomotiveparts.com; it shows it as discontinued and www.vpartsinc.com does not show any in stock. A local dealer could possibly tell you if one is available in a dealer's stock somewhere in the country. Just did this to find a few coupe quarter window hinge bases.

When in doubt, check Rockauto.com. They have 3-4 different choices for Harmonic Balancers listed.
