Some have thought about it and I’m sure some have done it. But it’s not safe and it’s not a good idea.

Safety wise it’s the same as chopping stock springs.

There is a for sale section on here BTW.

Mine settled in about a week. That’s why they say not to get alignment right after putting on new lowering springs. They take some time to settle.

Mine's also settled after a month or so. But S-techs still leave about a 3 finger gap. So don't expect to go low with them. They do ride pretty smooth though. Also, cutting the spring is pretty bad. My buddy did it on his cb and they rode lower but alot harsher. I didn't feel safe in his car at all.

I will be using S Techs on my 91. But that will be next year. IIRC they are the mildest spring we can get.

Just get lower springs or coilovers. H&R race and Neuspeed race are pretty low. Function & Form Type 1s if your in the market for coilovers.

You are going to get a camber kit right?

Dont have one now but will get one. Didnt really care for suspension cause never had the money to dump in it but now that im makin some ok money its time for an upgrade. Ive always gone looks and speed first but its time to play with my suspension.

                        3 Finger Gap??

CrazyMikey said he didn`t get much of a drop with them either,
tho they were on STOCK struts.

S-techs/Koni Yellows, Front Perch bottom ring, Rear Perch is middle/stock.
This set-up is smooth as glass.

I had s-techs with regular KYB's. It was a little bit less than 3 finger after it settled but it definitely didnt have a fistful gap lol.
The Koni's on the lowest perch could minus another inch, give or take. I have the H&R cup kit, basically Koni yellows, on the lowest perch and it definitely made the gap lower.

seriously people that ask about cutting springs should be banned. chopping progressive rate springs is the stupidest idea ever concocted. asking or doing is like asking if its ok to drive around on your rotors, yes theyre round and will spin etc. just like a cut spring will fit and bounce..*sigh* do your shit right or dont do it at all, all these half assed hoopdi's on the road is frightening. so say you cut your springs and youre out street racing or other dumb shit and hit me, I see your ghetto rigged shit, youre digesting your teeth.
So put away the hacksaws and sawzalls and get started trading, bartering what have you and just DONT CUT SPRINGS

                            /rant end

Erik, I second your opinion of people who ask about cuting springs or doing other dumb and dangerous things.
