ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Aspirations for my next CB7.

    Aspirations for my next CB7.

So I'm planning on building my third CB7, which I'll be getting within the next 6 months.
I already bought Fat Four Custom LCAs, a Progress sway bar for the rear, new plugs and wires, strut bars for the front and the rear, an exhaust, and some other little things here and there.

Now its time for the big stuff — suspension.
This upcoming week I'll invest in some brand new Koni Yellows, and soon after that I'll be getting Ground Control Coilovers and camber kits all around. Then an h22/h23 transmission, whichever one I can get for a better deal.
Then its onto wheels and tires, and maintenance parts.

I don't plan to do much to the engine for the first year since it is going to be my daily driver. IF anything happens to the stock engine, I may do a swap of some sort. (I'm thinking H23 and possible boost later on down the line).

I plan on daily driving this and spending SOME weekends doing autocross next summer. Any other mods you guys would recommend for track and street use?

I'd replace all seals, belts, gaskets, water pump, oil pump, and possibly some new piston rings. A balance shaft eliminator kit wouldn't hurt either and will be easier to do before you drop the motor in.

Is this for the stock f22a6 or for the h23 I might swap in at some point?

Yeah for either engine. It's for peace of mind because not only are those engines old, but I'm sure they have high miles put on them. Also, if you plan on running your engine hard here and there, I'm sure you wouldn't want any of those to fail on you a few weeks or a few months after you just dropped the motor in. But like I said it's more for peace of mind. The balance shaft eliminator kit may only be for the H22s, so you could always just leave the balance shaft belt off you don't mind a little extra vibration during idle. It's not that bad though, I personally have my balance shaft belt off and the vibrations to me feel really minimal. It helps free up some rotating mass so it should rev up a little quicker.
