auto tranny possable problem?

ok so i bought my girls 91 cb lx auto about a year agao..it has had this shifting problem since the purchase...


problem/ when the tranny shifts it shifts hard into the next gear..doesnt slip no flashing s light.just shifts kinda hard.

i honestly think it could be the touqre converter..but i want more opinions.what do u guys think?

Hard shifting is a sign of a strong trans.
Check your motor mounts. Other then that, be glad you have a well performing trans.

And change your fluid.

even to the point were it chips 2nd?

i would check the front mount it is called the torque rod mine is shot and my car shifts hard like ur explaining to me. well right now my car dont wanna shift for anything lol.

Please elaborate. Are you saying it's actually chipping the 2nd gear?

if i floor it when it shifts to 2nd u hear the chip of thr tires.its like shifts instanly....

definitely check the torque mount cause mine is broken and it shifts hard as hell from gear to gear. like i could tell instantly that it went bad cause it happened to me a few months ago and now its broken again on me. it could be chirping cause the amount the motor moves when you are accelerating and then the motion of it shifting the motor well jerk forward and then back so fast.
