ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

SRS red light comes and goes

    Hi All

When I'm driving, usually my SRS red light lights up. There are times, though, when the light is NOT on. For the most part, it usually just flickers around, and either decides to stay on, or off. Can someone help me to identify why it's does this?

    Thanks All

Chances are that some of the SRS wiring is loose, or the sensors are reading something improperly. Your aftermarket bumper cover (and the installation of it) may have something to do with it.
All SRS wiring is yellow, if my memory is correct. The best thing to do is check all connections. If you don't have a Helm manual, now might be a good time to invest in one. The diagrams will be extremely helpful in tracing all the connections.

The SRS light MAY flash error codes like the CEL does, but I'm not positive. Someone would need to verify that (and provide the codes, because the only codes I know of on this site are CEL and transmission codes.)

Sweet deal. thanks Mr Deevergote. I've had this problem since I bought my car, which was approx. 1 1/2 yr ago, but I never found it to be an issue. Now that I know the yellow lines are SRS, I will have a check.

-- what does SRS stand for? And better yet.. What purpose does it serve? (sorry if this seems silly, but I really don't know)

I've known more people that got hurt by airbags than people that were saved by them... the older models especially. I'd prefer that my bag never goes off! I wear my seatbelt at all times.

You have to hit something really hard for the CB to deploy.

If the light is on, its probably not going to work. I'd look into the dealer and what they can do.
                  wat?

Would the dealer charge to have a look at it??

They may. Search and call a local dealer and ask them?
