    Prelude flushmount: yay or nay

Just installed my prelude flushie that I got from the jy. I'm on the fence about it. Looks a bit bulcky to me, and then the sides stick out too much. And no guys, I didn't cut the center. I figured it might work out ok without doing that because I do like that fact that it comes to the edge, but its just not fittng flushed. Anyway, i'll let the pics do the talking

Personally speaking here, I would go without it. Simply because the Prelude flushie looks to be like you said really bulky on the trunk. It looks painfully obvious that it isnt for a cb7 and thats one of the main high speakings of the oem flushmount. It lines up perfectly and sits flush with the body lines of the car. So with this in mind, I would go without it.

Without. You may as well have glued a 2x4 to the trunk.

Not feeling it at all. Just does not fit well in any way shape or form.

A nice VW Jetta flushie would suit it.

                Beautiful car btw.

I believe there was one guy here who pulled it off well, don't remember his name but i think he heated the ends to sit flat on the outter ends and cut it.

nay, and those exposed edges are going catch hella air and introduce lots of drag. So youll either pull it off your trunk lid after a while or tweak the crap out of it. Just measure the excess and remove that from the middle after cutting it in half. Im sure theres a DIY, but fiberglass and bondo is easy work, then itll look tight!
