ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

F22A1 AT does it have a filter?

anyone ever had one of the F22A series automatic trannies rebuilt before?
i was wondering if there was any kind of oil filter because my mother's 1990 something Mazda 626 HB had one inside that i remember my brother replacing once.

I was only wondering because someone posted a website that sold autoparts for our Hondas, rockauto.com, and they were selling somekind of an inline oil filter kit for our ATs.

    any input is greatly appreciated.

majority of Hondas on the road do not have ATM filters. Only model that i can think of is the 06 odyssey and up.

Fast cars don't require power, just good brake, chassis, and suspension setup!

I think it only has a metal screen. It would really help if it had a filter.

Majestic Honda shows a strainer and magnet, #4 & 5

WIX has an inline filter for the AT. This seems to there solution for the lack of filter. OT: I was considering using this for the Power Steering.

You could also use a good oil filter with a remote mounting base in the cooler line.

              filter info

like aeromech said its only a screen covering the pickup tube
now if you want a filter which can be done but youll have to mod the rad loop that cools the trans fuild not very well though but if you add a trans cooler then just slap a filter on that but itll just cause drag in the fuild and drop your psi so add an aux electic oil pump to bump the psi pressure that will drop with a filler and trans cooler but ill have less heat loss from your drivetrain and maybe just maybe 1 to 5 crank horsepower LOL

oh yeah use a large oil filter it might help with the drop in psi

um yeah they dont have an accessable filter. part of a rebuild is replaceing the metal screen. get the WIX inline filter with magnet and run it to an optional tranny cooler just like that really cool guy did . whats his name ? ? ? o yeah me.
