i think ur right . we need more detailed threads in this section.

i say we get some more sticky's. for example on how to wire up a basic system (2 subs and a amp) or how to have speakers connected to a 4channel amp.

these things should be stickied in both:

HOW TO SET GAINS PROPERLY,

HOW A SUB IS BUILT (video from another site ive found off off E-Howitworks),

HOW TO SOLDER LARGE GAUGE WIRE,

HOW TO DO THE BIG 3,

WIRE/FUSE GUIDE (very important)

these can be an exact copy for the Audio section not in the newbies, the biggest problem with people is not knowing how to set up the gains, and having them wayyy to high and getting too happy with the volume knob and not knowing when it starts clipping.

LOL! More stickies?

It would be a fucking miracle if majority of people would actually read those.

We could do an "Important Thread Index" or something like that, as we have in other sections.

If you guys know your stuff, make those threads. Let me or a mod know about it, and we'll add them to a sticky.

I personally know nothing about audio stuff, so I can't do a damn thing!

I think if we could make one thread to be about the damn brand preference then make a sticky explaining the differences in sub and speaker sizes it could be a huge help. There too much brand a vs brand b. I think the biggest thing with the beginner audio topic is it's wayyyy to cluttered with bullshit.

I will attempt to do a DIY with my installer at my work for all the new members. I am starting to realize the new members should have alot more info before starting their stereo installs. The audio section on this site is where i find the people who need the most help and know the least about what they are doing.

Ya'll can do write-ups then I'll compile them into one big thread so that we won't have to fill up the audio section with stickies.
Your write ups will be a big big contribution to this forum.
