i love the hood, but unfortunatly it met its demise last year and opened up at 80mph goin down the highway! gotta give credit to CF cuz its still on my car, it dont look purdy but she's held up and gets the job done.

It lets alot of heat out of the bay to, when its cold and your parked at a light you can see the heat coming out of the vent!

You're porting and polishing it yourself? How do you know you aren't actually hurting airflow?

i figure opening up the runners a little bit more on the side W/O the butterfly's will give me a little bit more low end off the line? i also will open the plenum a little more and i polished the IAB plate on the side without the butterfly's as well.

I hope it works well in the end?

Porting that part of it will lose low-end I'm pretty sure.

I just put a6 runners and h23 plenum on my car not to long ago, and my friend put on a full h23 IM. I left the butterflies in and hooked them up via vacuum, and he removed the butterflies completely, and he had waaay less low-end than me. I don't get what you mean by the sides with and without the butterflies, they're on their own separate plate?
